Welcome to my website!
Who am I?
My name is Matthew Barrington, and I am a junior computer software engineer.
Thank you for taking time out of your day to visit my website!

Education
I currently attend SUNY Polytechnic Institute in Utica, NY for Computer Science.
My graduation date will be in May of 2024 following this Fall 2023 semester,
and Spring 2024 semester. I am in my third year of college, so I will be
graduating a year early.
Before coming to SUNY Polytech, I spent one semester at Rochester Institute of
Technology as a Chemical Engineering major, then I transferred to Onondaga
Community College where my journey in the computer science field began.
My interests and hobbies
When it comes to computer science, I've taken a liking to machine learning,
statistics, and data science. The power of data is riveting, and I am excited
to see how it evolves in the near future.
As for some of my interests outside of my professional career, I am huge
bookworm especially when it comes to the fantasy genre. Brandon Sanderson
is definitely my favorite fantasy author. I also enjoy reading books about
philosophy, history, business, and biographies.
I love the outdoors! Hiking is one of my favorite weekend activities. Living so
close to the adirondacks is a blessing. I plan on hiking all 46 high peaks
in my life. I'm a big gym rat as well.
Lastly but not least, I am a proud member of the Bills Mafia. I'd be surprised if
you haven't heard me yelling on Sundays when Josh Allen throws an interception...
GO
BILLS!
